Jan, those are all awesome WOWs!  Congratulations! I've had several wows lately, one of which I posted the other day, shopping the regular clothing section, though it is very overwhelming and I didn't come away with anything new. I, too, have collar bones, oh and shoulders too! Can do my own garden, in the past, it was point and have someone else do the planting or get down on my knees only to have a very hard time getting back up again, not anymore. . . Then there was looking in the mirror and liking what I'm seeing, in clothes that is! Hoping to achieve my next personal weight goal by my birthday, end of June. . . Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Hi Laureen,   Ain't Life Grand?   It's amazing how much better you feel when there's less of you!   I still can't get on my knees to garden, they just hurt awful!  Maybe when I lose more - I've got plenty of weeds that need pulling for sure.

Hi Jan, This is fun.  My WOW is that I saw a co-worker who was laid off a year ago.  We used to talk about my grandkids and her daughters, email pictures to each other, etc. I saw this coworker in the grocery store with her husband.  As we were passing I made a comment to her that it must be a treat to get out and shop without their two daughters (both under six years old.)  She looked at me quizically and laughed and said, it sure is and continued on shopping. About four aisles later we passed again.  I said to her, you don't know who I am do you? and then said my name.  She did the whole OMG thing in the middle of the aisle.  She didn't recognize me and was shocked. This is fun stuff. Bev

This is such a wild ride - I have so many WOW moments!  I had my surgery on 7-2-07 and reached my goal about 6 weeks ago.  I am now down 115# and maintaining pretty good.  I wear size 8's - down from 22's This past weekend we went horse back riding - we have Tennessee Walking Horses - and the biggest WOW - I can get on my horse again without any help or steps.  I think he is happy about not carrying around that extra 115# as I am!!! I can cross my legs - under my desk with no problem I have bones!  I find new ones almost every day! I can walk with no knee and feet pain! shopping is fun!! This is quite a journey - scary at the beginning and so worth every minute of worry.  I am so thankful!! Randa

OK, I'm in.  Jan, thanks for asking. Tomorrow is my 2 year surgiversary.  I reached my goal 9 months ago and have been maintaining a 110-113 lb weight loss ever since.  I'm actually looking forward to a doctor's appointment for a change.  It just happens to be with my WLS surgeon.  I know, I could have had a baby in those 9 months.  Fat chance!!!   Candy Actually, after re-reading what I just wrote, I have to amend it a bit.  This is not a WOW moment!  It's a WOW life!!!!

Candy,  That is so AWESOME!!!!   Losing is one thing, maintaining is quite a different thing for sure.   I bow to the master!!!  A baby?   I think not - who would want to go thru all that again?  Not me for sure!

A size 6 is amazing. Good for you! I will never be in a size 6. I think my body is done losing. I am going up and down 5-10 pounds, trying to stay down at 170 or go down to 160. ... Would like to get down to 160, but my body just doesn't want to go. ... even when I'm exercising more frequently at home (well, 30 minutes on my little exercycle and 15 minutes on my leg lifts and weights and stretches should count!) I'm not losing. Think it's water weight or weight gain from the new med (although it works so well don't want to quit it ... I actually sleep and don't wake up to take a vicodin because of the pain).  No new wow moments here. Other than maybe my gyne doc congratulating me the other day for keeping off my weight and even losing a little more over a year; she says she has an easier time doing the pelvic exams now that I've lost my weight. Maybe that is a wow (I know it hurts a lot less now.)  I remember when I first saw I had collar bones ... it kinda scared me because I had never seen them. What are those sticking out? I thought I had something wrong, like a tumor. Last year, when I bought a size small in some stretch capris, I told that to my best friend Rox and she was pissed at me because she said I couldn't have gotten into a small, she was never in a small and I'm bigger than her. Well, Rox, think again! (Rox has gained weight since she had her two kids after age 40 ... and now I've lost weight ... what a switch!)
